Rocket Man
The music video, produced by Iranian Filmmaker and refugee Majid Adin. He reimagines the song and depicts his interpretation as a refugee traveling across the world away from his family. It tells a new adventure of loneliness and hope of a better life. It does this by using animation, it depicts the traveling refugee as an astronaut traveling across space, hence the link to the song title Rocket Man. The use of the space theme also emphasises the lonelieness he must face on his journey. The concept of an astronaut is also used to show the difference of culture that the character must be facing, this is further emphasised when we see a scene where the refugee is shown in a bustling city from a higher wide-shot. the use of this camera angle also adds to the alienating nature of traveling across the world to a society that may complete differ from what you know. This song is one of my favourites from Elton John as not only is it a classic but it also the music video acts as a tribute to those who have immigrated and left their families for a better future, with no guarantee of seeing them again. This song and Majid Adin's interpretation works perfectly to reflect those who have been through similar situations.

Tiny Dancer
In this music video it depicts a range of societal groups from young to old, wealthy to poor and a large mix of ethnicities. Many scenes depict these individuals in their cars singing along to the song, which links to the lyric's references to a 'highway'. The song uses a range of groups in order to show that this song is for all and to be enjoyed by all people not matter the emotion. The music video has contrasting mix of emotions from each individual character. This may be used to show that the song transcends any gender, race and age and can be interpreted in anyway the individual wants to, no matter the emotions that they are facing when listening to the song. I personally enjoy this music video as it has an interesting premise of how it depicts emotions, the complex mixture of emotion that is displayed contradicts most music videos where they have a set theme to match the music. This song is yet another classic and easily fits into most playlists.

I'm Still Standing
This music video depicts Elton John on the beach side with many colourful characters dressed in beach clothing. The music video mostly involves choreography of dancers and some performance by Elton John himself. Being an upbeat song most of the performance matches the theme of fun and ecstasy. It involves sharp cuts and a variety of settings and costumes. The song is representing the state of mind Elton John was in after a hard break-up with a partner. After a long while of depression that he faced he realised that he could come out of this situation stronger, which lead to the creation of this song. The chorus of 'I'm still standing' reflects to how he felt during his break-up and how he is able to create and thrive after. This song is in my Top 3 as it is another classic and overall a positive and motivating song. It can also be interpretated in many ways, not just in the context of heat-break.
